The Importance Of Attending Christian Church Temple Hills MD

By Dorothy King

God does not seem to be important in the lives of most people nowadays and both young men and women are affected with spiritual darkness that prevents them from seeing the light of God. They even find it difficult to go to church on Sundays, the day that is widely acknowledged as a holy day. Part of the reasons for this is that they are unaware of the numerous benefits of partaking in Christian fellowship and many still do not know the right place to go. Christian church temple hills MD is a recognized worship center in the US where Christians are encouraged to frequently attend.

The church is like an anchor to Christians. After engaging oneself with the cares of life such as work, home chores, business, child care and so on, there is need to get back to God and submit all desires and wills unto him. The busy schedules of most parents make it difficult for them to spend time with their children in studying the word of God. However, in the children ministry, this gap in relationship with God can be filled.

Attending a Christian gathering also creates an opportunity for revival. As one goes through the toils of the week and with all kinds of people, it is necessary for Christians to get spiritual strength in church for the week ahead. Singing songs and hymns, listening to sermons from anointed men of God and praying against challenges and for divine favor is a nice way to start the week.

Another benefit of attending service is to have fellowship with like-minded individuals. Since the Bible discourages unequal yoking of a believer and an unbeliever, Christians are encouraged to find friendship among other believers in the place of worship. This can also lead to creating contacts with people who can help alleviate your troubles whenever they arise.

Churches also present several opportunities for service. If you are an orator but feel uncomfortable to represent your town union group in secular affairs, you can convert that talent to become a public relations officer for your Christian congregation. Young children learn the art of selfless service when they are first committed to serving others in their churches.

The Bible makes it clear in Matthew 18:30 that the gathering of His people brings down His presence. In other words, fellowshipping with the brethren and attending service is a sure way of seeing God. It is an opportunity to seek refuge in Him and ask for total control over sin, temptations and trials. Hearing the goodness of God as narrated by other believers can also strengthen you.

The most recommendable place for young Christians to find their future spouses is in a Christian fellowship. Since it is a gathering of people with the same faith, there is no doubt that there can be a more perfect match between members of the same congregation. The singles also have a spiritual leader to guide them properly before marriage.

Individuals who spend more of their time in the church are able to avoid alcoholism, drug abuse and other criminal activities. They know The Word and their pastor always encourages them to be obedient to God. They also turn out to become very happy and successful in their endeavors.
