Reasons For Public Contract Administration

By Joyce Nelson

In the public sectors, there are many jobs that are assigned to different people, for instance, the suppliers of goods and services, qualified contractors and so. All these tasks demand a Public Contract Administration to safeguard manage the legal agreement between the parties involved. It is essential because it plays a very important role. There are so many reasons why it should be administered. The following are some of the reasons.

The foremost aim is showing in form of identifying the right party that is supposed to perform some duties or simply deliver a fully completed project. This official assignment helps is ensuring that there are no intruders who might come claiming the salaries of the work that they did not do. Thus, it protects the only professionals that were actually hired to ensure delivery of products or provision of services is done.

It describes very well the nature of services or goods which should be delivered and, changing it by giving what was not required can make someone go unpaid. Therefore, it governs the entire assignment from the beginning to the end. That is why, if someone goes against it, the legal action is taken against them and this document is the only perfect evidence.

It also concludes with the acceptance of specific products or provisions and final inspection even before the assignment is carried out. This, therefore, helps so much in ensuring that the correct quantities and qualities are supplied, the job has been completed on time and all other related documents have been issued on time.

The other sensitive part which the contract focuses so much is about the salaries and other benefits the task awarded part should be given and through which means. This must be clearly explained and the amounts are shown before the signing and the work start. Since there is a chance that one of the parties might change the mind, it ensures that the interest of each person is protected.

It also ensures that the relationship which exists between the professionals and the employer is managed and safeguarded. Since everyone knows what they are supposed to do, that is, duties and roles, none should omit or go against that. This will, therefore, ensure that they are always in good terms because there shall be no misapprehension. This keeps the relationship growing.

Financial accountability is necessary for any particular organization and so it is to the government. Some government officials in this world are very corrupt and so, having physical evidence showing the type of work that was done and the amount spent on it gives a room for accountability. This helps in ensuring that there is no misuse of public funds and that the money is spent accordingly.

Finally, the tasks that are done by the government are too many and so, when they have agreements of already completed projects, it becomes easier to know which jobs have not been done so as to plan for them as well. It, therefore, helps in ensuring that no confusion or omission of some projects.
