Finding A Certified DBE Firm Partner Will Not Be Easy But Keep This In Mind

By Angela Snyder

Starting a business is an exhilarating experience filled with a set of challenges and victories like no other. On the other side of the coin, however, there need to be countless hours of hard work that need to be put in and often times the gap between the hours needed and the hours in a day are not enough. An ingenious way of getting around such a problem is to find a Certified DBE Firm business partner. But how does one go about doing such?

For any small business owners looking for a business partner. The best advice that can be taken from this article other than hiring someone that you trust is that hiring somebody that you have worked with for some time and are comfortable around is an added plus and much less demanding than someone entirely new.

Regardless of the size of the business, if people are to work together in harmony there s one thing that needs to bring them together, regardless of their differences, race, religion and political views. And that thing is a goal that they want to achieve in this business. Ultimately, that goal should be for it to succeed so that people can get paid and earn a living and maybe be able to buy something that could be considered a luxury or two.

Do not limit your search to a generalized internet search of possible business partners based on the people in need of a job or in good looking suits on social media. Consider approaching web-based recruitment agencies to help and the groups that you surround yourself with. The latter is especially true if you happen to attend seminars and conferences.

Furthermore, a person can attend conferences and seminars where the advantage of being enclosed in a space with like-minded people might yield a recommendation or a starting point by directing you on who to approach and where to go.

Most people who end up becoming partners in small business organizations are encountered in social settings where they are referred by one person to another as a way of conducting business. It s not exactly blind dating but it comes close. Just in a more formal setting for the conversation to take place.

Research is key. A person in need of an associate should t be wooed by the clinking of glasses and restrained laughter at even the dumbest of jokes. By collecting references, not only is research conducted but a deeper understanding of what this person is like to work with is obtained.

Relinquishing power won t be easy and at times, one might feel threatened by the new parties involved in any decision making process. What is important to remember/keep in mind is the end goal in sight at all times.
